Acy Day

Meet Acy Day, an American children’s book author who resides in a small college town in central Alabama and shares her home with her husband, three dogs, three chickens, and too many cats to count. When she’s not writing, you can find Acy tending to her vegetable garden, sewing toys and quilts at her machine, or engrossed in children’s books, which she adores.
Acy found her love for children’s literature while working as a teacher in the Head Start program. During a chilly autumn afternoon, she read aloud to a group of 3-5-year-olds. One child suddenly exclaimed, “That’s like me. I do that too!” This connection made Acy realize the significance of storybooks for young listeners, and her passion for children’s literature has only grown since that day.
Acy achieved her dream of becoming a published children’s book author, and she has many more story ideas waiting to be put on paper. Despite holding degrees in Child Development and Behavioral Science, Acy prefers to devote her time to writing stories, sewing snuggly things for children, and gardening.
Acy’s books feature vibrant characters and relatable stories that provide enjoyment and excitement for both children and the adults reading to them. So, take delight in her books, have a blast with your children, and stay tuned for more books by Acy Day.
